Barber and Osgerby design trains for London’s Crossrail

Barber & Osgerby have won the tender to create the interior, exterior and livery for the trains that will be used on the Crossrail line, a new cross-capital railway due for completion in 2017. They will work with Transport for London (TfL) and UK train manufacturer Bombardier to design and build the trains. Each train will be made up of nine carriages, measure just over 200 metres long, and capable of carrying up to 1,500 passengers.

Double Space for BMW - Precision & Poetry in Motion

Edward and Jay have collaborated with BMW to create a remarkable and memorable experience in the V&A's Raphael Gallery for this years London Design Festival. Two mirrored silver structures will be suspended in the centre of the gallery. The choreographed movement of the giant structures will distort the view of the Raphael cartoons on display, the architecture of the room and the viewer's perception of the space. Elle Decoration International Design Awards winners

Chosen by the 25 editors-in-chief of Elle Decoration around the world, Edward and Jay have been chosen as 'Designers of the Year 2014' and also winners in the Floor covering category for their tile collection 'Mews' with Italian manufacturer Mutina.

Edward and Jay's Bodleian Library Chair has been shortlisted in the Designs of the Year 2014 exhibition at London's Design Museum. Exhibited from 26th March - 25th August 2014.

Shortlisted for Milan Expo 2015

Barber & Osgerby and Universal Design Studio have been shortlisted to deliver the UK Pavilion at the Milan Expo 2015. The theme of the Expo is 'Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life'. The winners will be asked to highlight world class British research, innovation, entrepreneurship and international development interventions contributing to improving the quality of people's lives and meeting the global challenge of 'Feeding the Planet'. Detailed concepts will be presented in April.
